It is also twinned with Biella, home of Piacenza 1733. Blue is the colour of Arequipa's skies and the walls of its famous monastery of santa Catalina from where inspiration was taken to develop the shades of this cloth.
The raw material originates from a farm with whom Piacenza 1733 has an exclusive partnership, where the cutting edge genetic research program allow the creation of a vey fine fiber, the finest among all alpacas.
